Q. How long does it take to finish your Showlow JP #5 traffic school course?
A. To meet the Arizona Supreme Court's requirements, our course will take 4 to 4 ½ hours to finish. Since the course is Internet-based, you choose which 4 hours to spend on it and can work at your own pace. You can log out for breaks as often as you'd like. Once you're ready to start working again, the course will pick up at the same spot.

Q. Will online traffic school keep me from being stuck in a classroom?
A. Yes, indeed! There's no need to go anywhere special to take this Showlow JP #5 traffic school course. Anywhere that has Internet connection will do just fine. You can take our traffic school course at home at your kitchen table. Bunny slippers are optional! Plus, our online traffic school is easy to use, even if you don't spend a lot of time on the computer. All you have to do is register for the course, then log in and work at your own speed. Q. If an Arizona traffic court orders me to take a driver improvement course, can I take the DrivingUniversity.com online course?
A. More than likely, the answer is yes. Most Arizona courts allow drivers to take this course online. You may want to call the court to verify or you may call or send an email to us and we can answer that for you. The State of Arizona requires all defensive driving schools to check a driver's eligibility before taking a course. For example, some drivers are not eligible because they have taken a defensive driving course recently for a separate citation. We check your eligibility through your driver's license and citation. Eligibility Requirements
You are eligible to take the course if all of the following is true:
  • You have NOT taken a defensive driving course for a traffic citation within the past 2 years – violation date to violation date.
  • Your violation code is listed on this acceptable list.
  • You were not involved in a serious injury or fatal accident.
  • You do not hold a commercial driver's license.
  • You agree to complete the course 7 days prior to your court date.
  • You agree credit is given for only one violation when more than one offense has occurred.
  • You agree to submit your driver's license and copy of citation to Driving University to ensure you are eligible for defensive driving.

Q. How long is the final quiz? Can I take it from my own computer?
A. Due to state regulations, all drivers who take our online traffic safety school must take the final quiz in the presence of a notary public in order for it to be used to get rid of a traffic ticket. You must bring photo ID to take the test. The good news is that the test is multiple choice and the questions come from the DrivingUniversity.com website For most people, it takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. Q. I'm no good at tests. What if I don't pass?
A. That's not likely to happen, as most people pass the first time. However, if you don't, you get 2 more tries to pass it.

Q. Do I have to call the Court to say I've finished the course?
A. No, DrivingUniversity.com will call them. After you pass the final exam, we'll let the Arizona Court know within a business day and mail you the Certificate of Completion for your online defensive driving course. If the final quiz by is turned in by 2 pm PT on a weekday, we'll advise the Court the same day! If your final quiz is turned in after 2pm, it will reported the next business day.

Q. Do I have to take the entire course on the same computer?
A. No, you can switch computers. Our course is Internet-based and tracks your progress automatically. When you log back in to the course, you can start right where you left off. Our system will recognize you through your login credentials even if you're on a different computer.

A. You'll need to have everything done at least 7 days before you're due to appear in court. After you're done with the course material, you have 3 days to pass the final quiz.
