Q. If a court requires me to take a driver improvement course, will this online defensive driving court satisfy that requirement?
A.
Yes, most of the time. However, if you've taken defensive driving for a traffic ticket recently,
you may not be eligible. We are required to verify your eligibility using your ticket number and
your driver's license before you begin taking the course. Call us or send us an email and we can
find out, or you can contact your Arizona traffic court.

Eligibility Requirements
You are eligible to take the course if all of the following is true:
- You have NOT taken a defensive driving course for a traffic citation within the past 2 years – violation date to violation date.
- Your violation code is listed on this acceptable list.
- You were not involved in a serious injury or fatal accident.
- You do not hold a commercial driver's license.
- You agree to complete the course 7 days prior to your court date.
- You agree credit is given for only one violation when more than one offense has occurred.
- You agree to submit your driver's license and copy of citation to Driving University to ensure you are eligible for defensive driving.

Q. How frequently am I allowed to take a driver improvement course?
A. That depends. Our course can be taken for traffic tickets as often as necessary. However, if you're taking it for a 2 point reduction on your driving record, the DMV will only let you take it once every 12 months.

A. In Arizona, most drivers can take our course, no matter how old they are. Make sure to check in with your court, or call or email us and we'll help you find out.

A. No, we'll tell them for you. After you've finished the test, DrivingUniversity.com will advise the Arizona traffic court within one business day. We'll also email your Notice of Completion as soon as you finish. If you get the course completed by 2 pm Arizona time, Monday-Friday, we'll contact the Court on your behalf the very same day. If you finish later on in the day, after 2pm, we'll contact the Court on the following business day.

A. Our San Luis defensive driving course lasts 4 to 4 ½ hours in order to meet state requirements. Since our course is taken online, however, you can choose to space it out however you would like. Arizona defensive driving – traffic school final quiz
As a requirement of the State of Arizona, drivers taking defensive driving online must take the final quiz in the presence of any notary public to show proof of identity. The final quiz of the defensive driving course takes about 10 minutes and is taken online from the Driving University website. It's not difficult at all.
