Andy shook his head. "I don't think so," he said. "I think you should give me your keys, honey. You just don't look ready to drive." Andy was worried; Melissa was swaying slightly and obviously a little tipsy. "No, really, I'm FINE," Melissa said, trying to seem more alert – though Andy seemed a little blurry in front of her. "Just stand still and I'll be OK," she giggled. "Melissa, I am standing still," Andy said. "That's it, honey. I'm taking the keys. Andy told her that he had just seen a news story on CNN about how the number-one cause of death for people under 35 – and that applied to both of them – were auto accidents. Andy reached for Melissa's hand that held her car keys. She snatched her hand away and laughed. |
